INSPIRATION STORY OF DESIGN
The connection we have to the City is deep. But my time back has shown me so much has changed including its people. Natives in disappearance and so I contemplate nights to a day, hours to a year that this work really goes farther than just getting a bag. The goal has always been to buy back the block and use this platform for positive influence. Just a way for you to feel me through an artistically crafted passion like I done showed you a blueprint — a way to be inspired by your own god-given gift.
The gifts restrained by the survival tactics of silence — too scared to speak up as the residual effects carry on today. So the flashbacks of simplistic nostalgia when riding the muni and bart reminded me of how as a youth, I thought about nothing but just getting out the “hood” and never coming back. Positioned by the universe, I now humbly ride the bus spotting vacancy as opportunity to build.
